Dr. Catie Greene, LPC

“I believe that stories are healing and offer endless opportunities to deepen our empathy, emotional and cultural awareness, and coping skills.”

I write and publish therapeutic children's books to help little ones build their socio-emotional skills while expanding their big imaginations. I have always been a writer, but the person who inspired me to pursue publishing is my toddler nephew. He inspired the Everyone’s Included at the Animal Party series with his imagination and gave me my pen name, “Aunt Kiki.”

I am a licensed professional counselor with a doctorate in counselor education. I currently practice therapy, teach counselors in training, and provide consultation on a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (Synergy) team for a company whose mission is to Mental Health System Transformation towards greater wellbeing everywhere. My research and practice are grounded in Relational Cultural Theory, which is a central theme of the Everyone's Included at the Animal Party series.

I love writing, reading, time spent with friends and family, and enjoying music. On the weekends, you can find me on a soccer or kickball field or trail running with my dog Mojo.
